By analyzing the gender perspective of the ideal and real love stories of a group of teenagers and young people in high school, this book dissects the latent patriarchal construction in dominant-submissive relationships and in romantic love ideology. This reality is evident in the aforementioned stories as well as in numerous literary and filmic narrations, in advertising, in fashion, in songs, and in social media, whose messages often lead to stories of violence and abuse. The work also examines other forms of love throughout history, in different cultures, and in current productions of various branches of art and creativity, primarily crafted by women, in which they share their fears, their different ways of loving, their desires, and their conception of eroticism.
Around the myth of Psyche and Eros, in a non-patriarchal key, the book proposes the psychological work that every person must undertake to build other ways of loving and a different eroticism where body, emotion, and mind are harmonized, and where kindness and equality take on a true role. Finally, through her collaboration in theatrical experiences with teenagers and young people, the author presents didactic examples that involve the body and emotions, based on the students' own experiences, and develops a program of co-educational exercises to reflect on and reconstruct other possible loves, and a more egalitarian and satisfying eroticism, rooted in free and consensual enjoyment.
